Education

American River College - Current Undergrad, Business Administration/Accounting I am on course to graduate on !2/22/2015 with an A.D.T and transfer to California State University Sacramento in pursuit to obtain a B.S in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting. Current G.P.A is 3.68. As a youth I was in the G.A.T.E ( gifted and talented education) program from 2nd to 6th grade. This program focused more on group projects and the arts.

Experience

I have a heart for education. I love attending college and working on academic goals. I enjoy tutoring my niece and nephews as well as my two daughters who 12 and 17 years old. I stress the importance of developing strong study habits and becoming proactive with teacher/student communication and relationships. I strongly believe that the more education one has the more freedom one will have as well. Also, it is vital to not only be able to memorize information but to be able to critically think for oneself. This ability to critically think will not only enable a student to be successful in their academics but it will also give them tools to use when making important decisions outside of school.

Hobbies

I enjoy watching sports on television such as football and playoff basketball. However, with such a busy schedule I spend most of my leisure time playing with my children at parks or taking them on local trips. I love being a dad who is involved in his children's lives and involve them in positive activities. We take trips to the local library and museums. I also have learned to take my teenagers obsession with social websites and technology and teach them how to use it in a constructive way. I taught them how to make their own website and how to use power point for future presentations.
