Hello there! :) You may call me "Peach". As far as credentials go, I was a tutor for a year at the University of California in Davis. I then graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in Italian and a minor in Linguistics. It was my pleasure to spend 9 months in Italy, studying the language, conversing with the natives, and enjoying the culture. I'd like to mention here that I'm on the road to becoming a translator, and it would be my pleasure to delve into the grammar and sound of this unique language with you. We can do that the fun way (by studying musical lyrics, images, and movie lines), the intensive way (by repeating and solidifying grammar in the brain, coupled with reading aloud and conversing only in Italian) or a healthy combination of the two. This will depend upon your personal goals and inclinations.
Experience
Besides a year of tutoring Italian at Davis (not including the times I tutored my friends in Sacramento), I have taken 3 hours of Italian grammar and conversation every weekday in Milan and Florence for 8 months. Besides this, I have been involved in volunteering for the Italian Cultural Society in Carmichael, including helping with the day-care which exposes children to "La Bella Lingua" (The Beautiful Language). I received a special honorary prize for the time spent tutoring in Davis.
